How does trip registration work?
A tracker in your car records every trip as soon as you drive off: date, time, start and end readings, departure and arrival addresses, and the route driven. You don't need to start or enter anything yourself. In the TrackJack app and the portal, you can share a trip as business or private with a single tap.
How does a mileage tracking app work?
The TrackJack app accompanies the tracker: the tracker records, the TrackJack app displays. You see your trips per day, the details per trip, and your totals per month. The MoveJack app handles self-registration without a device. That is a separate solution, intended for those who do not want a device in the car. You can read which one to choose in trip registration with a device or with your phone.
How do you keep a mileage log?
Automatically, if you use a certified system. Manual recording is also permitted, but then you must record the date, start and end odometer readings, addresses, route, and nature of the trip for each trip. One forgotten trip renders the records incomplete, and that is precisely the risk that automatic registration eliminates.
How do you copy your mileage log to Excel?
In the portal, you select the period and export your trips to Excel, PDF, or an audit file. You can send these files directly to your accountant or submit them during an audit. You do not need to retype anything, and the data is retained for seven years.
What is the best trip registration?
The best is the registration you never forget. Therefore, pay attention to three things: does the system register automatically, does it have the Ride Registration Systems Quality Mark, and are you tied to a subscription? What is Service & Support?
Service & Support is the fee for the 4G connection, the TrackJack app, and the online portal. It is separate from the one-time purchase of the tracker. You pay in advance for a term of your choice, from six months to five years, and it does not renew automatically: at the end, you choose whether to continue. That is why we do not call it a subscription.
