Van Mourik Bouw specializes in commercial construction, restoration, and high-end construction throughout the Netherlands. They have been using track and trace systems since 2018, initially for tracking trailers. Over the past two years, their entire fleet of 18 vehicles has been equipped with trip logging systems.
As Executive Secretary at Van Mourik Bouw , Joline van Haarlem is responsible for the fleet . Ms. Van Haarlem manages the mileage log and prepares monthly reports. “All employees have signed an agreement allowing them to drive a maximum of 500 km privately per year, and with the mileage log, we want to relieve them of the burden of manually recording kilometers.”

Joline is the only one who manages the mileage log at Van Mourik Bouw. “We've chosen not to require employees to use the app, so they can't make any changes themselves. If anything needs to be adjusted, like mileage, they let me know. Our experience with TrackJack has always been positive. Fuel fills, mileage and CO2 emissions
Van Mourik Bouw is working hard to improve its quality and environmental management system and to comply with ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
We're currently renewing our fleet. Every quarter, we analyze the average CO2 emissions per vehicle based on fuel fills and mileage. We have several older buses, which increase our average CO2 emissions.
To reduce these figures, new buses will soon be replacing the older ones. But to further reduce fuel consumption, a feature like Green Driving would be beneficial," says Van Mourik, referring to the implementation of Green Driving, which TrackJack is working on.
This makes it possible not only to keep track of drivers' journeys, but also to gain insight into driving behaviour.
